Generative AI and Legal Research Instruction

This study will survey academic law librarians on whether they are teaching generative AI in their legal research classes. Generative AI is changing the way lawyers and law students conduct legal research. In this new environment, law school graduates are expected to understand how to use generative AI research tools. This study will look at whether law librarians are teaching generative AI in their legal research classes. The results of this study will provide data on law school trends and will give law librarians the opportunity to see what their colleagues are doing.
