Mobile Weight Loss Program for Young Adults

We are looking for young adults ages 18-39 who are interested in using digital tools and a smartphone app to help them lose weight and develop healthy habits.

  • 18 years ~ 39 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

United States (Nationwide)

What will be asked of you

You will be asked to complete online questionnaires at 3 time points. During the study, you will use the study smartphone app and digital tools provided to follow the weight loss program.

Incentives

$50 at baseline, $25 at 3 months, $75 at 6 months for assessment completion

Total length of participation:
7 months

Looking for Healthy Volunteers

Requirements for healthy volunteers are different than for those with a specific condition. If you are interested in becoming a healthy volunteer for this study, use the below categories to determine if you are able to participate.

Able to participate:

  • Are currently age 18-39
  • Have a body mass index between 25 and 45
  • Own a smartphone with data and text messaging plan

Not eligible if:

  • Type 1 diabetes or currently receiving medical treatment for Type 2 diabetes
  • Other health problems which may influence the ability to walk for physical activity or be associated with unintentional weight change
  • Currently taking weight loss medications
  • Currently pregnant, pregnant within the past 6 months, or planning to become pregnant within the next 6 months
  • Currently participating in a weight loss, nutrition or physical activity study or program or other study that would interfere with this study
