Movement Characteristics in Virtual Reality

Are you a club athlete or recreationally active and between the ages of 18 and 35? You may be able to take part in a research study to help us learn more about the relationship between jumping and running tasks and a virtual reality task. We also want to find out more about the impact of a concussion on these tasks. We are looking for people who have recently had a concussion (within 9 months) to take part.

Peanut Allergy Study for Children and Adolescents

The research study is testing a new study treatment for peanut allergy. The new study treatment is called PVX108. The study doctor and the study sponsor want to learn more about this study drug and to see if it is safe and helpful for children who are allergic to peanuts. The study drug has been used safely in adults and teenagers with peanut allergy. This will be the first time that the study drug will be tested on children in this age group.

SPECT-CT Guided Elective Contralateral Neck Treatment for Pts With Lateralized Oropharyngeal Cancer

Have you been diagnosed with Lateralized Oropharyngeal Cancer . If so, you may be able to take part in a research study looking at the safety by using a special imaging study called lymph node mapping (lymphatic mapping) Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT-CT) compared to the usual treatment when radiotherapy is given .

EFFEKTOR Study for Kidney Transplant Recipents

The study treatment, finerenone, is being developed to help people who have long lasting kidney disease, also known as chronic kidney disease (CKD). It works by blocking a certain hormone called aldosterone that causes injury and inflammation in the heart and kidney which is known to play a role in CKD. In this study, the researchers want to learn if finerenone works the same way in kidney transplant recipients. Some subjects will receive the study drug and some will receive a placebo.

Southern Liver Health Study

Have you ever wondered what environmental toxins you are exposed to on a daily basis, and how it might affect your health? The STRIVE study is looking for volunteers who would like to provide blood, urine, and/or saliva, as well as home samples such as soil, dust, and/or water. In this study, we want to learn more about the environmental factors that contribute to advanced liver disease and liver cancer. We are looking for healthy volunteers and people with liver cirrhosis who live in either North Carolina or Georgia to take part.

A012103-CIRB: OPTIMICE-PCR: DE-ESCALATION OF THERAPY IN EARLY-STAGE TNBC PATIENTS WHO ACHIEVE PCR AFTER NEOADJUVANT CHEMOTHERAPY WITH CHECKPOINT INHIBITOR THERAPY

Have you been diagnosed with early stage triple negative breast cancer? We are asking you to take part in this research study because you have been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and have recently completed preoperative chemotherapy in combination with pembrolizumab, followed by breast surgery. The chemotherapy plus pembrolizumab produced a pathologic complete response (pCR), meaning that no remaining cancer was found during your breast surgery.

Using Chat GPT and Amazon Alexa for Early Diagnosis of Memory Decline

Learn if voice recognition technology can help in the early detection of memory problems We are inviting you to participate in a research study, Exploiting Voice Assistant Systems for Early Detection of Cognitive Decline, by completion of a virtual interaction involving a memory test, questionnaires, and interaction with Chat GPT and an Amazon Alexa. Our study team is seeking volunteers: • Aged 65 and older • Are healthy or have mild cognitive impairment • Have access to Wi-Fi and a quiet environment • Have the internet browser Google Chrome or are willing to install it on their personal computer This study involves: • 1 Zoom session • Completion of memory tests and questionnaires • Interaction with Amazon Alexa • Interaction with Chat GPT • Virtual visit will be audio and videotaped After the session, you will be compensated $20 for your participation.
