This study focuses on how communities near the coast deal with frequent but shallow flooding. We focus on small towns in Carteret County, NC, where families have lived for a long time. We want to talk to residents here to understand how they see their quality of life changing as flooding increases. We also want to see if their tolerance for this type of flooding changes depending on how bad it is and which areas are affected. By talking to residents and modeling flooding, we hope to characterize how livable this place may be in the future considering these floods.
We are studying how to make a program called PriCARE work better in doctors' offices. PriCARE helps parents and kids build stronger relationships. We want to find out what makes it hard or easy for doctors to tell families about PriCARE, for parents to sign up, and for parents to attend the sessions. By understanding these things, we can improve the program so more families can benefit from it.

Recent updates to the clinical practice guidelines of the American Heart Association (AHA) and US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), now recommend against the use of aspirin for primary prevention in older adults due to the associated bleeding risks. Moreover, it is estimated that 25-40% of older adults continue routine aspirin consumption without evidence-based clinical indications. Using the emergency department as a platform to evaluate patients' perspectives on discontinuing aspirin in scenarios where the risks or potential drawbacks surpass the benefits. This assessment takes into account the patient's care objectives, existing functionality, life expectancy, values, and preferences.
