Study of NEU-411 as possible treatment for LRRK2-driven Parkinson's Disease

Compassion Fatigue in Healthcare Workers

The purpose of this study is to examine healthcare workers' perspectives on compassion fatigue and how it correlates with caring for patients engaged in extended hospital admissions. Specifically, it will examine how healthcare providers perceive the psychological and emotional toll of caring for patients over an extended period of time, whether they are in recovery or declining, and how that affects their job satisfaction and their ability to provide high-quality care.

Interprofessional Collaboration Between Dental and Dental Hygiene Students

The purpose for this study is to assess attitudes before and after completing an educational opportunity that helps dental students and dental hygiene students prepare for their careers. This will be done by allowing them to build strong resumes and cover letters, meeting experienced employers from various dental practice settings, and practicing interviewing skills through mock interviews. This will be completed over three two-hour sessions.

We are excited to invite you to participate in a research study on how people perceive news stories on social media. This study aims to understand what aspects of a news post draw people's attention and how these elements influence perceptions. What's involved? As a participant, you'll complete a short survey and then view a social media news post while an eye-tracking device to record where your attention is directed. This study session will take approximately 20-30 minutes and will be conducted in our on-campus lab. Some participants may be invited to a 10 minute follow-up interview to review their eye-tracking data and share additional thoughts. Why participate? Doctor Badge and Misperceptions of Physician Role

We are assess the utility of using a required doctor badge insert along with normal physician name tags to help patients and staff more accurately identify physicians. In particular, residents, or trainees, especially those in surgery are often misperceived as nurses, students, or other non-physicians. Prior research has shown that this varies based on both race and gender.
