Finishing Sentences

This project aims to test the cognitive mechanisms involved in language production by healthy adults, specifically comparing the effects of pronoun priming on the rate of production of binary pronouns (he/she) and nonbinary pronouns (they). Pronoun priming has been demonstrated to be associated with a higher rate of pronoun production than name priming for binary pronouns, and we hypothesize that this difference would also occur with nonbinary pronouns.

National Registry for Childhood Interstitial and Diffuse Lung Diseases

This study will collect information about children who have rare types of lung disease to help us understand how better to diagnose and treat these patients. Information will be collected from participants' doctors about how different aspects of their disease and treatment. This will be compared to information from other such patients from other hospitals around the United States. By gathering information on many such patients, we hope to develop best practices for such patients. These may lead to new research studies, which we can invite participants in this study to consider as well.

Artificial Intelligence Prediction Tool in NMIBC

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate an Artificial intelligence (AI)-based tissue sample analysis tool that can predict response & progression rates to chemotherapy in intermediate-risk (IR) and high-risk (HR) Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients. This study will use AI-based tissue sample analysis as a possible tool to help predict which patients are at high-risk for cancer recurrence and progression after surgery and chemotherapy treatment. Specimens will be obtained for each patient before treatment and at the 12, 24, & 36 month follow-up to be analyzed using the AI-based tool.
