The purpose of this research study is to understand how the monitoring of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) could help improve surgical care for patients undergoing chest surgeries. PROs are symptoms directly reported by patients through the completion of a survey.

The purpose of this study is to test the safety of the two study drugs, venetoclax and selinexor, and to find the highest dose of venetoclax and selinexor that can be given safely when it is combined with chemotherapy drugs (cytarabine or cytarabine and fludarabine).
