Do journal editors care about careless responding data?

We want to know if members of editorial boards of psychological science journals: (a) are fully aware of the data quality issues associated with careless responding study participants and (b) whether they tend to insist that studies be screened for such data prior to being published in their journals.

Patient Experiences at Outpatient Diuresis Clinic

The purpose of the study is to collect and analyze survey responses from patients who visit the outpatient diuresis clinic at UNC Eastowne in order to gain insights into their perspectives and experiences. Fiscal incentives to reduce the burden of hospital admissions have fueled interest in ambulatory strategies that can better manage heart failure, including clinic-based administration of IV diuretics. Given the clinic was started in 2017, quality improvement initiatives are necessary to continue to improve its services. This study will focus on the patient and collect qualitative data.

Improving clinic access for people with a disability

The purpose of this study is to identify barriers to health care access for people with a disability. In this first phase of the study, we are concentrating on the Center for Rehabilitation Care at UNC. We are conducting focus groups with people familiar with the clinic to find out what problems they are encountering with making appointments, getting to the clinic, communicating with staff and doctors, and feeling respected and appreciated. Based on the focus group information, we will design and test a survey.

Shorter Stent Duration After Ureteroscopy

The rationale for this study is to determine if there is a difference in symptoms or complications among patients undergoing uncomplicated ureteroscopy for stone removal with shorter indwelling stent duration. Curently there are only a few small studies exploring the optimal duration of stent placement after stent placement and no multicenter randomized control trials.
