UNC Center for Aging and Health needs your help to understand the feelings of family/informal caregivers of nursing home residents with dementia about reducing or stopping osteoporosis medications.
Have you previously received Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) for your Barrett's Esophagus (BE)? You may be able to take part in a research study using the CryoBalloon Focal Ablation System, also called cryotherapy, a freezing treatment for the esophagus, to further treat your Barrett's Esophagus. All procedures and treatments will be part of your routine clinical care.

If so, you may be eligible to participate in a research study that will assess your immune response to COVID-19 infection or vaccination over a 5 year period. We are looking for children and adults aged 7-95 years, and plan to collect blood every 2-6 months over the study period. (Compensation provided for the first year).
Researchers are trying to find out if they can slow the growth of prostate cancer by adding green tea to patients treatment. Researchers are also trying to find out if this could be better or worse than usual care patients get.
The purpose of the REHEARSe study is to help women with a recent heart attack improve their ability to recognize future heart symptoms and know when to call the health care team about symptom changes. If you are part of the study a registered nurse will teach you about what causes a heart attack, how to prevent another one, how to monitor yourself for symptoms, and what to do if symptoms return. You will also be given access to an educational website with additional resources designed to improve heart health.
Do you sit too much at work or home? There is strong evidence for an association between sitting and cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease and stroke. In this study, we want to identify strategies to break up sitting for long periods of time. Compensation will be provided.
