To spread awareness and resources about Long COVID within Eastern North Carolina to healthcare providers, community health workers, lay health advisors, and community leaders. The assessments and evaluations are intended to gather prior knowledge and knowledge gained about Long COVID as well as facilitation and overall effectiveness of the educational sessions.
This Incubation Project is motivated by ethical questions around policies and practices concerning research engagement with U.S. Indigenous Peoples whose tribes are unrecognized by the federal government. The pilot study includes activities aimed at (1) elucidating their perspectives on environmental research ethics, (2) evaluating the breadth and depth of current environmental research engagements within their communities, and (3) assessing their perspectives and gathering feedback on emerging research policies.

This project examines the impact of Medicaid expansion in two states (RI and KY) on opioid overdose deaths (OOD), suicides, and homicides deaths among formerly incarcerated persons (FIPs) using a comparison state that has not expanded Medicaid (North Carolina). It will also detail state-specific models from Kentucky (KY) and Rhode Island (RI) for expanding Medicaid. The hypothesized benefits of Medicaid expansion include increased access to substance abuse and mental health services and increased opportunities for legal employment.
Purpose: To conduct a cluster RCT trial to compare the efficacy of the AD ACP Toolkit (intervention) vs usual care (control) on GOC discussions (primary outcome) in People Living with Dementia (PLwD), and other ACP practices such as preferred surrogate, decisional capacity, and portable ACP orders (secondary outcomes) over 18 months.
Does patient response to numbing of the skin prior to placement of a spinal or epidural for a cesarean delivery predict post cesarean pain?
Using the Project ECHO teleconsultation model, community mental health providers will participate in 6 months of sessions to better support the autistic Latine community. Participants will respond to pre and post surveys to learn about change in knowledge and self-efficacy as related to the Project ECHO model.
The primary purpose of this study is to determine differences in proportions of participants achieving clinical remission at Week 12, comparing eltrekibart versus placebo, in adult patients with moderate-to-severe UC. This will be followed by a 40-week Maintenance Period to explore safety and the durability of remission.
The aim of this questionnaire is to explore awareness, perceptions and utilisations of PPI (Patient & Public Involvement) and the barriers to its use among researchers within the Psychiatric Genomics Research community. This survey is part of ongoing work from the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC) Outreach Committee and the International Society of Psychiatric Genetics (ISPG). Data will inform the PGC Outreach Committee on how it can support PGC members in their outreach activities and will be shared at a PGC World Wide Lab 2024/2025.
