After conducting a thorough literature review to capture all current areas of care and treatment for MPS II patients, a brief overview of the literature was presented to a group of MPS experts, including the principal investigator and co-investigators. From this overview, the Delphi statements were created. The Delphi statements were then put into Qualtrics to create a survey. The survey will be sent to practitioners who care for and treat MPS II patients, including MDs, PhDs, APPs, or those holding an advanced degree in a relevant field. Participants will be asked to answer a few demographic questions to see if they qualify for the survey. From the survey, we will determine a level of agreement and publish the results in a medical journal

Ovarian cancer is the second most frequently diagnosed gynecologic cancer in the United States. Although it is the eleventh most common cancer among women, ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death. Fortunately, survival rates for ovarian cancer patients have been improving over the past few decades due to advances in medical procedures and the availability of new cancer drugs. However, studies have shown that the improvement of clinical outcomes are unequal among patients of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. This study seeks to understand the factors associated with healthcare disparities in Black ovarian cancer patients and identify features of programs that have been successful in addressing these racial imbalances. The findings of this study will help the researcher develop future programs to address healthcare disparities in Black ovarian cancer patients.
The Currituck Sound is a unique coastal system of numerous habitats and relatively low salinity levels which allow for it to support diverse wildlife recreational opportunities, and other important ecosystem services. However, due to various anthropogenic factors, the sound is facing multiple threats such as sea level rise, erosion, and nutrient loading. In order to protect the sound, the Currituck Sound Coalition was formed and it now works to restore the sound. This research project will look at Currituck Sound Coalition members' perceptions of the Sound, its components, processes, and how they interact. Semi-structured interviews will be conducted to create members' mental models of the Sound. Models will be analyzed for differences and similarities.
