Do you have type 2 diabetes? Do you have kidney failure and require hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis? You may be able to take part in a research study to find out if using an approved medication (semaglutide) improves blood sugar control. Study medication and diabetes management provided. Participants will be compensated for their time.
This study is being done to answer the following question: Can we prolong life for patients with advanced kidney cancer, by adding a drug called cabozantinib to another treatment after receiving the standard treatment? We are doing this study because we want to find out if this approach is better or worse than the usual approach for your advanced kidney cancer. The usual approach is defined as care most people get for advanced kidney cancer.
Atrasentan is an investigational drug. That means it has not yet been approved by the FDA as a medicine. Researchers want to find out if taking atrasentan along with a drug called an SGLT2 inhibitor is safe and helps people with IgA nephropathy.
This study is being done to see if the study drug, called BI 764198, may help people with a type of kidney disease called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (abbreviated FSGS). Researchers are trying to figure out if the study drug can reduce the amount of protein in your urine, also known as "proteinuria".
In this study, we want to learn more about the impact on progression-free survival (PFS) for patients with multiple myeloma when taking a combination of four drugs. The four drugs in this study are lenalidomide, ixazomib, dexamethasone, and daratumumab.
Do you have Chronic Kidney Disease that is due to Type 2 Diabetes? You may be able to take part in a research study to help learn about the safety and impact of a study treatment that is injected into one of your kidneys.
We have study goals: (1) To conduct phone interviews to ask about symptoms and life impact from adult patients living with PSC; (2) To lead community advisory board discussions to decide on using existing symptom measures 'as is', modify existing measures or develop new measures to evaluate PSC symptoms; and (3) To conduct interviews with adult patients with PSC to assess their understanding and comprehension of selected symptom measures. We plan to consent and enroll up to 75 patients into a Screening database. From the database, we will select up to 24 patients to interview for Aim 1 and up to 16 patients to interview for Aim 3. Interviews will be conducted over the phone by staff at Duke University. At the end of the study, we will have 3 PSC symptom measures for use in future PSC studies.
