We are doing research on large language models such as ChatGPT, Bing AI, and Google Bard. We are interviewing and conducting diary studies with information professionals (e.g. finance, law, IT, business, academia, journalism, and consulting) who use these systems in their work. If you're open to sharing your experiences with these tools, you can choose to participate in a 10-workday diary study followed by an interview which could last between 30 to 90 minutes. And research can help us get there. Taking part in the All of Us Research Program involves sharing information about your health, habits, and what it's like where you live. Are you experiencing symptoms of menopause? Have you noticed a change in your mood during your menopausal transition? If you have missed at least two periods, you may be able to take part in a research study. In this study, we want to learn how mood and stress may affect risk for heart disease in women during menopause.

In the Carolina Blue Project, we want to learn more about work-related stress, eating behaviors, and cardiovascular disease risk factors among law enforcement officers. If you work as a law enforcement officer in any North Carolina or nearby states law enforcement department, you may be able to take part in this study. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Officers who participate in the project and complete the two required steps will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.

Are you interested in how changes in shoes and footwear can be used to make improvements to day-to-day life? You may be able to participate in a research study to quantify the biomechanical effects of different footwear on walking. Compensation provided.

Does your child have hearing loss in one ear, or single-sided deafness? If they are under the age of 3, they may be able to receive a cochlear implant as part of a research study to find out if early implantation helps children with single-sided deafness. If they are five, they may be able to help us study differences between children who receive a cochlear implant when they are little, children who do not receive a cochlear implant, and those with typical hearing.

We study how the immune system protects against viruses and bacteria without causing excessive harm to organs like the lungs, heart, and kidneys. We need a small amount of blood to study how immune cells ("white blood cells") turn on important proteins when they sense a bacteria or virus nearby.
