Are you living with HIV? Do seek your care at the UNC Infectious Diseases Clinic? If so, you are eligible to participate in Database study! Participating is at no expense to you, and there are no study visits. You would be contributing to increasing knowledge about HIV and furthering the HIV research field.
This study is for patients diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, which is called Metastatic Breast Cancer. This study will look at information from your tumor that may help choose treatments. Researchers will use this information to find out how different patients may respond to different treatments, leading to better treatments for future patients. You may not benefit personally, but your doctor may be given information which may help guide your treatments.
Are you 18 or older? Have you recently received a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with certain gene changes? If you answered yes to both, you may be able to participate in an AML treatment study. We want to understand the effectiveness of the combination of a new anti-cancer drug called SNDX-5613 and the standard chemotherapy treatment.
Are you an undergraduate student at UNC? Are you Asian or from an Asian country? If you answered yes to both, you could join a research study. We are looking for students like you to discuss college admissions topics with fellow Asian students. Compensation will be provided.
Are you concerned about the quality of the environment? Do you identify as Lumbee? If you are interested in helping to identify the most pressing environmental issues impacting Lumbee health, live in Robeson County and are over 18 you may be able to participate in a Talking Circle. Is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) making it difficult for you to get pregnant? Are you trying to get pregnant as soon as possible? You may be able to participate in a research study to find out if a new device can help restore fertility in women with PCOS. Compensation provided.
Do you ever feel discomfort during your pessary check-ups? Are you looking for ways to make them more comfortable? If you are a woman experiencing discomfort during pessary exams, you may be able to take part in our research study. We are seeing if massaging the area around the opening of the vagina (perineal massage) could help lessen pain during pessary exams. Compensation provided.
You are being asked to participate in this research study because you have been diagnosed with breast cancer and considered for immunotherapy. This study will investigate your response to immunotherapy.
If you are being considered for an EXIT procedure, you may be eligible to participate in our research study.
Have you recently had an anterior cruciate ligament injury and will be undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery? If so, you may be able to participate in a study comparing the effects on pain relief and arthritis prevention of metformin or placebo. Compensation provided.
