Measuring stability, reliability, and robustness of the Lateralized Attention Network Test (LANT) over multiple testing sessions

To determine the effect of multiple testing sessions on the performance in an attention task. The lateralized attentional network test (LANT) measures alerting, orienting, and executive control of attention. Six test sessions will be administered to examine stability, robustness, and reliability of the test. This study will be the first to examine if performance of the three attention networks in both hemispheres changes over time using the LANT. Therefore, the primary goal of this study is to examine the robustness, reliability, and stability of the three attention networks over repeated testing sessions.

GET SET - Endocrine Therapy Medication Adherence Study

The GET SET Study is a research study for women who take medicines to help keep breast cancer from coming back. These medicines are called endocrine therapies and include Tamoxifen and Arimidex. The study will test different kinds of extra support programs, such as daily text message reminders and telephone counseling sessions, for women taking these medicines. We want to learn which support programs help women take their medicine as it is prescribed by their doctor.

Comparative effectiveness and safety of belatacept among kidney transplant recipients

Belatacept is a drug that helps kidney transplant recipients by preventing the body from rejecting the new organ. We want to compare how well belatacept works compared to the commonly used drug tacrolimus. To do this, we plan to study people who got kidney transplants in the United States from 2011 to 2020. By using two large databases, the United States Renal Data System, and the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, we aim to understand how belatacept is used in real life. We are also interested in comparing how effective and safe is belatacept compared with tacrolimus after one year of administration. We will look at outcomes like how long the transplanted kidney will work, how long will the kidney transplant recipients live, how well your kidneys will work, the risk of organ rejection, and certain side effects to happen after transplant like blood cancer.

Adapting Community-based Task-shifting for the COVID-19 response among Underserved Populations in NC

This study is partnering with communities to identify the best ways to provide COVID-19 testing and vaccines to people who have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19. This includes communities of color, essential workers, immigrants and migrants, people in rural areas, and people with chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure. We want to train community outreach workers and peer recruiters from community and faith-based organizations to help reach these underserved populations with COVID-19 testing and COVID-19 vaccines - a strategy known as "community-based task shifting." Thus, we will be conducting focus groups and theater testing sessions and questionnaires with patients who have received COVID-19 health services and focus groups and interviews with key stakeholders and theater testing sessions and questionnaires with individuals who work in community outreach or peer health education organizations for COVID-19 health services.

Core Concepts for Didactic Education in Pharmacy Administration & Leadership

Core concepts within disciplines of science have allowed educators to teach the most foundational and critical knowledge efficiently, and students to obtain essential skills and knowledge required for a given discipline. Recent decades have seen many science disciplines applying and confirming the benefits of core concepts. However, there is limited research on the core concepts of healthcare administration and leadership, especially within pharmacy. Consequently, the lack of consensus on core concepts prevents consistency among training programs teaching pharmacy administration and leadership (PAL). Given the increasing value of didactic training for PAL and attributes within training programs such as MS degrees for pharmacy, a set of core concepts must be well defined to assist with didactic PAL training. In the world of rapidly evolving medical services, technologies, and policies, strong PAL skills can lead to advanced global health and the alleviation of some of the world's most pressing healthcare challenges
