The effects of ankle push-off assistance on gait capacity

Preventing walking disability in our rapidly aging population is an enormous public health challenge. Fundamental to their loss of functional mobility is that the muscles needed to power walking experience disproportionate declines in function with age. Wearable assistive devices can be designed to augment the function of these muscles and may make walking easier. If you are a healthy young adult, you may be eligible to participate in a study to help guide the development of more effective exoskeleton designs!
