To find answers, researchers will conduct detailed interviews with current and former teachers, school leaders, parents, and former students in the district of study. Through analysis of these interviews, the study aims to understand what factors from the past and present maintain racial inequality in the school district of study. The findings will help shed light on the causes of racial differences in educational outcomes and suggest ways to make education more equitable in public school districts located in college towns.
